Melissa Chaudhry

Melissa Chaudhry is a writer, speaker, and constitutional advocate who ran twice for Congress in Washington's 9th District — advancing to the general election in 2024. Her debut book, Service & Sacrifice, tells the story of her husband Zahid's 25-year fight for due process, culminating in his illegal ICE detention and their family's federal court victory.

She speaks with uncommon credibility about what happens when institutions drift from principle: how quiet abuses of power take root and grow, how bureaucracy becomes the first weapon against dissidents, and how the Constitution only matters if ordinary people are willing to insist on it — calmly, relentlessly, and on the record.
